Successful Accreditations with Cyber Essentials & Cyber Essentials Plus
Chrysalis are thrilled to announce that, after much hard work over recent weeks, we have been successful with #CyberEssentials and #CyberEssentialsplus Accreditations! @CyberSmart.UK !This work was part of the National Cyber Security Centres’ support for care providers, in collaboration with the national and local support programme; Better Security, Better Care. For Chrysalis this means that we have met a nationally recognised standard for Cyber Security, which demonstrates that our systems and equipment meet a very high standard. Our thanks go out to our expert volunteer @gary.richardson.980967 who has provided much support with the technical and, application requirements throughout the process! Our thanks also go out to @RiskCrewUK and @SystemITLtd for all their hardwork in helping Chrysalis to achieve these two accreditations. Mike Denovellis, IT Director of SystemsIT said “It has been a fantastic experience working with the team at Chrysalis Cumbria to help them achieve the Cyber Essentials Plus certification. Cyber security is an ongoing concern that all companies should take extremely seriously in the same way that Chrysalis Cumbria have done, and it’s great to see the hard work and commitment put in by the team at Chrysalis Cumbria has paid off. Congratulations to all involved.”

Chrysalis Spreads Some Christmas Cheer
Chrysalis has been spreading some Christmas cheer across the county by sending out more than 80 festive gift boxes to the people we support.

This was made possible by a generous donation from Mr Mike McCrickard.
Mr McCrickard presented to Claire Doherty on behalf of Chrysalis earlier this year in our Sensory Garden with a cheque for £500, where he was able to socially distantly meet a few of our members and some of The Meeting Place staff with Team Leader Vicky Hogg as well as the Trustees.

As we couldn’t host our regular Christmas meal and disco this year, we held an online virtual party instead on Tuesday 22nd December as part of our 12 days of Christmas events. We played games, had dances and even a little virtual singalong with thanks to Dave Camlin.
The festive gift boxes included Christmas hats, Christmas party toys and Christmas Cake (or alternatives) as well as a little gift of compulsory Christmas socks!

Chrysalis Chief Officer Claire Doherty said: “We wanted to do something to keep in touch with everyone and let people know we are thinking about them.
“Everybody that we support regularly, either by telephone, virtually, on-site and with our out-reach workers, has been sent a gift box and there are some items in there that they can use to celebrate Christmas or join in with our virtual Christmas party.”
Greenhill Fair 2020
We are sorry to announce that this years Annual Greenhill Fair will not be taking place due to the current circumstances. Thank you to everyone who has already made an enquiry about the event; we hope to see you next year if conditions allow.
