What we are doing and how it works!
Here at Chrysalis one of the many activities offered to our members is pottery. Our members really engage in this activity, they enjoy creating the pottery and find it very therapeutic. This results in a meaningful, enjoyable activity for our members and some fantastic pottery creations that are sold to the general public via local community events and the Chrysalis Wholefood shop in Wigton. We are hoping with the help of you and The Co-op Community fund, we can continue with our pottery groups and replace our rather old kiln!
How the Co-op Community fund works
First you need a co-op membership card, if you don’t have one, you can apply online or ask in store.
When a co-op member shops at the Co-op, 1% of what you spend on Co-op branded products and services can help fund community projects. Members can shop at any Co-op Group stores across the UK to raise money for their chosen cause.
Co-op members can choose which causes to support by calling the membership helpline on 0800 023 4708 or by signing into their membership account, all you need to do is find the local cause you wish to help and click the green button “back this project”, you can also click to share what you have just done on facebook or twitter to help spread the word!
So don’t delay choose your local good cause and start helping today!
