Getting Involved

There are many ways in which you can get involved at Chrysalis.
This may be as a regular or periodic volunteer. It could be as group or organisation. It could even be as a trustee or as a fundraiser by becoming a Friend of Chrysalis. You may find volunteering through our employment opportunities is also something you would be interested in doing.
If you are an organisation and would be interested in establishing a partnership please contact us to talk to one of our Senior Management Team.
If you are looking to make a donation to us, please see our donation page on how you can do that.
You can find further information about ways in which you can support Chrysalis throughout this website or, if you would like to get involved by volunteering on any level and would like to have a discussion please get in touch by:
calling 016973 44751 or emailing us at info@chrysalis-cumrbia.co.uk
Volunteering is a fulfilling way to give your time, and helping others can make you feel great in return. So if its once a week or once a year, we appreciate your time.
Become a Trustee
Our Trustees play an important role in making sure that the charity is run in the interests of the people we support. Trustees strategically oversee the management and administration of the organisation and ensure we have a clear strategy and that our goals and work are in line with our vision.
The role of Trustee is not accompanied by any financial remuneration. The time commitment includes attending up to 4 annual Board Meetings with additional sub group meetings and the AGM.
“The benefit we get from volunteering our time is greater than the help we give to others. It is a privilege to be be a Trustee”
Chrysalis Trustee
We are fortunate to have fantastic Trustees with backgrounds in Finance, HR, Training, Commercial, Education, Social Sciences and Parental.
Your legal professional expertise, or other, would be very much welcomed by Chrysalis. Being a Trustee and using your knowledge and skill in a different way to your professional life can be a new and potentially challenging environment.
As a Trustee you are part of a team and will have the opportunity to apply your unique skills and experience while learning from others and working closely with a passionate team who have different perspectives. This is often one of the most enjoyable aspects of the role.
If you are interested or would like further information or a conversation about becoming a Trustee please contact Claire Doherty our Chief Officer or Gilda Wells our Chair of Trustees.
