Independent Living Manager

Full time 40 hours per week (including on call duties on a rota basis) Starting Salary £28,003 (Revised 20.09.19).

Chrysalis is a local organisation that supports adults with a range of abilities with a special focus on supporting people with learning disabilities in their local community to lead meaningful and active lives.

Due to our continued success and development, we are now looking to recruit dynamic and people focused individuals to join our team in supporting people achieve their current needs and aspirations, providing person-centred care on an individualised basis.

This role requires an individual who can lead and develop our supported living, outreach and support at home service.  You will lead by example, empower and motivate our teams and the people we enable and support.

You will be an agile manager who can multi task and work flexibly to meet the needs of the people we support, inspire and grow our staff teams and help us achieve our business objectives.

Candidates should have significant experience supporting people within learning disability services and demonstrate commitment, resilience and enthusiasm to the role.  Ideally you will be qualified at Level 5 Leadership and management in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards.

Up to £17,031.21 per annum (pro rata)
(plus sleepover rate where applicable)

As an independent supported living support worker, you will be required to enable and support people to live in their own home and help with tasks that promote and develop an individual’s daily living skills: this may involve: helping someone to prepare and cook meals and drinks, compile shopping lists and planning for activities with the person as well as supporting someone manage their finances and medication, providing personal care as required.

You will be someone that enjoys helping people develop and making a positive difference to someone’s life.

We are currently seeking Trustees …

As part of our ambitious vision we are looking to appoint new Trustees to bring additional perspectives and expertise to our work and strategic planning.

We would welcome interest from people who are passionate about improving the life-chances of people with disabilities who have operated at a strategic level.

This rewarding and stimulating role will require a time commitment of around six days a year and is unremunerated. We are particularly looking, but not exclusively, for those with a background in either financial or legal services.
