Community Activities Service Manager
37.5 hours per week to be worked flexibly.
Salary £28,644.30 - £30,346.89
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our Community Activities Day Cebtre in Carlisle, supporting aduntls with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a social care professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for high-quality, person-centred support.
Location: Carlisle (Cumbria) - Candidates must be able to reliably commute or relocate before starting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring, high-quality care
Lead, supervise and develop staff, including performance management
Promote independence, choice and inclusion for adults with learning disabilities
Drive continuous improvement and contribute to service development
Ensuring complience with safeguarding, CQC standards and organisational policies
Build positive relationships with families, carers and external professionals
What we're looking for
Essential:
Experience in adult social care, ideally within learning disabilities
Strong leadership and team-management skills
Knowledge of safeguarding, CQC requirements and person-centred practice
Level 4 Health & Socail Care qualification (or willingness to work towards)
Desirable:
Experience managing day services or community-based support
Confidence in service improvement and staff development
Additional:
Participation in an on-call rota is required

Learning and Development Officer
22.5 hours (over 3 days)
£30,346-£32,951 (pro rata)
Are you passionate about developing people and improving the quality of care and support?
We are looking for a Learning and Development Officer to help ensure our staff, volunteers and Trustees have the skills, confidence and support they need to deliver safe, compassionate and high-quality care.
This is a hands-on rewarding role where you’ll deliver training, support professional development and help shape a strong learning culture across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering engaging training sessions, including induction, mandatory and refresher training
- Supporting staff to develop their skills and progress in their roles
- Identifying learning needs and helping shape development plans
- Coordinate training programmes and work with external providers
- Supporting access to recognised qualifications
- Monitoring training compliance and maintaining accurate records
- Contributing to continuous improvement in the quality of care through learning
What we are looking for
- Experience in a learning development, training or care environment
- Understanding of training requirements within a regulated care setting (or willingness to learn)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A collaborative and approachable style, with the ability to build relationships across teams
- A genuine commitment to improving outcome for the people we support

Supported Living Relief Support Worker Vacancies (Wigton and Carlisle)
RELIEF HOURS

· Double Time Bank Holidays
· £56.65 sleep in rates
· Enhancement for direct support work hours during the hours of 8pm-7am and for all hours worked at weekends paid at extra 0.15p per hour

This opportunity is on the outskirts of Wigton supporting Individuals to live as independently as they can within their own shared, fabulous farmhouse. This includes promoting ‘at life’ skills and a range of activities. We want the people we support to be active and independent.
Full training will be provided so no experience in support work is required.
We are looking for people with the right attitude, skills and interests who are passionate about working with people.
Support is provided 24/7 so various hours and shifts are available.
